FROM THE DESK OF PRESIDENT, SUZANNE LERNER: When it comes to making the world a happier and healthier place for the men in our lives, we’re all about it. This November, we’ve committed to helping shed light on men’s health, an issue that is close to our hearts. We’ve focused on four key issues that affect men’s health: prostate cancer, physical inactivity, testicular cancer and poor mental health. The impact of these issues on lives is substantial and we want to help change that.
This past March, my husband and Michael Stars’ Founder, Michael Cohen, passed away after a seven-year battle with prostate cancer. His passion for philanthropy lives on through all the lives he touched at Michael Stars and beyond. To honor Michael’s life, we’re donating $5 for every new email subscriber this month to fund men’s health programs. In order to raise awareness for these issues and change the face of men’s health, we need to take action.

The Michael Stars family is joining together to participate in MOVE, a 30-day physical fitness challenge. It’s the Movember Foundation’s challenge to both men and women to get active every day for the 30 days of November. No MOVE-ment is too big or too small, whether a brisk walk at lunch or an evening spin class, our goal is to get up and move for 30 minutes each day. Join us, your Mo Bros and Mo Sistas, in getting active and starting a conversation about men’s health.
